Rare Axinite Shard Gemstone Specimen with Pleochroism (Video) uv torch A rare Copper-ore combination mineralAxinite is a rare calcium aluminium boro silicate which has optical pleochroism properties as shown in our video photos. The term Axinite comes from the ax head shape which is typical of these crystals. This piece has a tiny Quartz point sticking out from one side. Pleochroism is a colour change when exposed to LED lighting this batch of Axinite displays cream, brown, orange, yellow, amber, plum, red, and violet colours. Specimen measures approx. 4cm
